Hey There! I’m Andrew. I grew up in Dauphin, Manitoba, but I now live and work in Winnipeg. I like nature, pop culture and spending time with the people I love. My design is often inspired by my past and childhood experiences, which add a unique mix of colour and life to my work. I focus on branding, motion design and illustration, but I find fulfilment in all aspects of the creative process. When I’m not designing, I like to be outdoors sitting on the grass somewhere or biking around the city on my trusty steed Leo (the bike).

Judy Mobile App

Judy is a sexual health resource app designed with LGBTQQIP2SA people in mind. They use a question-and-answer style user experience to answer difficult questions in a safe, no-judgment environment. Judy is modeled after the relationship between a young queer/questioning person and a seasoned queer elder, providing up-to-date information on topics from sex and gender, to STIs and relationships. No question is off-limits.

Dana’s Pizza

Dana’s is a fictional pizza parlour reminiscent of pizza joints from my childhood. Energetic colour choices and 1970s influenced graphics are used to create a vibrant, eye-catching brand. This project was an exercise in large scale branding systems; success with this project required a brand system robust enough to implement into a large number of brand expressions, such as product packaging, signage, children's colouring menus, and more.

Tigana Fantasy Typeface Design

Tigana is a display typeface created for fantasy publications and fantasy-inspired graphics. Tigana is an elegantly designed typeface styled to emulate existing fantasy applications and writing that could exist inside a fantasy universe. Inspiration came from dragons, serpents, creeping plants, fairy tales, and the pages and margins of fantasy epics from my childhood and teenage years. Tigana is meant to be used at large sizes but is suitable for medium size applications as well. Seen here is the entire uppercase glyph set. See my portfolio site for the full typeface exploration.
