Jenelle McCann

Hey, Iโ€™m Jenelle! My love of illustration is what led me to the RRC Graphic Design program, which is where I discovered a passion for design. My favourite types of projects to work on are branding and UX/UI. In my spare time you can find me exploring the Whiteshell, playing ukulele, and drawing.

Taza

  • Packaging
  • Branding

Taza is a conceptual, fair-trade coffee company that sources its coffee from Peru, supporting a local community. This brand markets to those who try to make ethical choices in the supermarket. A bright colour palette was chosen based on the colours of Vinicunca, a mountain range in Peru known for its rainbow-coloured bands that stretch across the landscape.

Tabby

  • Branding
  • App Design

Tabby is an app concept that teaches users how to play string instruments including guitar, ukulele, and bass. Thorough research was conducted to examine the pros and cons of competitor apps. The conclusion was that currently, most similar apps only show diagrams of guitar chords. Tabby combats this problem by using interactive activities to challenge the user, resulting in quicker skill advancement.ย

Rainbow Trout

  • Branding
  • Web Design

This conceptual festival refresh includes a logo, website and small campaign. The original Rainbow Trout logo is retouched and repurposed as an illustrative element. The new logo is crafted to resemble audio waves. A dark colour palette is used to focus on the main attraction of the festival: the late-night concerts. Bright pops of colour are used to bring excitement and as a callout to the festivalโ€™s name.
