Welcome to the 2025 RRC Polytech Design Show website. Take a look through our various programs to see some of the phenomenal work created by our graduating classes, and don’t forget to attend the show in May!
RRC Polytech campuses are located on the lands of the Anishinaabeg, Ininiwak, Anishininwak, Dakota Oyate, and Denésuline, and the National Homeland of the Red River Métis.
We recognize and honour Treaty 3 Territory Shoal Lake 40 First Nation, the source of Winnipeg’s clean drinking water. In addition, we acknowledge Treaty Territories which provide us with access to electricity we use in both our personal and professional lives.

Graphic Design provides up-to-date artistic training in the technology, techniques, and philosophy of graphic design, which plays a vital role in the process of presenting ideas, information, products, and services in an expanding global economy.

Students in the Communication Design program develop investigative and exploratory work that challenges ideas about what is traditionally accepted as output from a graphic design school. Through a series of thoughtful projects that casually blur disciplinary boundaries, the Communication Design program continually breaks new ground in building future generations of design thinkers at Red River College Polytechnic.

Interaction Design and Development
In the Digital Media Design — Interaction Design and Development program, students learn to create design-driven, responsive websites, apps, and user interfaces. This program trains students to be front-end designers and developers, as well as User Experience (UX) designers. In addition, students develop skills with content creation strategy, wireframing and prototyping, as well as a variety of field research methods and UX processes.

Video and Motion Graphics
In Digital Media Design’s Video and Motion Graphics program, students learn the art of motion graphic design and animation. Students also learn visual storytelling and the technical aspects of video production including shooting, lighting, editing, audio, colour correction, and compositing.
Combining design fundamentals, animation principles, videography, technical workflow, and creative storytelling, this program trains students to become motion graphic designers, animators, documentary and narrative filmmakers, compositors, editors, and shooters.

Game Development is focused on providing graduates with the skill sets needed to pursue careers in video game development. A foundational pillar of this program is to solve creative and technical challenges in a collaborative team-based environment, allowing students to build a relevant portfolio of work showcasing their skills.
